Warhammer 40K Blood Angel Assault Squad

This is the beginning of my assault squad.

I have started to paint the very first marine of my assault squad.
This model is still in progress and there is still a lot of painting to be done.
First i need a lot more details. Then i need a yellow helmet.

Warhammer 40K Blood Angels Commanders

This is my commanders section.

Lieutenant Commander

This is also a metal figure i bought a long time ago. Its a Mark 6 fitted Lieutenant Commander with a special shoulder/arm and a power sword. This is not finished yet, i just thought that i would post some pictures if my progress :)

I am sorry for the quality of the pictures. Those were taken with my phone....

I decided to change his backpack with one from the deathcompany's. so except from the last touches with white highlightning, the base and the last varnish, the model is now done.
(Will upload better pictures later)

Warhammer 40K Blood Angels Rhino

This was my very first vehicle that i bought a loong time ago. It used to have simple bolters on the roof, but they were long gone when i decided to paint the Rhino :(

But now it is finished and i quite enjoy painting it, which is the most important thing

Warhammer 40K Blood Angels Tactical Squad

This section is where i will display my tactical squads as i progress

Squad 1
First the are my old -very first plastic marines with Mark 6 "Corvus Armour"

They were painted a while back, but i still have quite a lot unpainted marines

Within this squad i also a very old Mark 6 Metal marine, which is quite nice:

Squad 2
This is a very small squad wearing a old armor type which i cannot quite place. It might be a Mark II or III armor, but these metal marines are still very nice

Squad 3
This is the newest squad containing marines with Mark VII Power armor. These models are mixed plastic and metal marines.

Marine 1 front
Marine 1 rear

Warhammer 40K Blood Angel Medics or Apothecary

This section covers my medics or Apothecaries..

Medic 1

So far only one have been painted, but it is quite special to me. This is one of my earlist (i think) metal marines. Although very low detailed, it is still quite fun :)

Warhammer 40K Blood Angels Devastator Squad

This is my upcoming Devastator squad. All the squads models are assembled, but so far only one painted.

The finished one carries a Missile Launcher.

I have started painting the next marine in my devastator squad. This one carries a heavy bolter
The work on this model is in progress, so it is NOT finished yet. I still need a lot of details and highlightning/shade.

Warhammer 40K Blood Angels Scouts

This is my scout section.

So far it contains the scouts from the old "Advanced Space Crusade" boardgame, but they are still pretty cool.

The ones already painted have been given a basecoat of Army Painter Dragon Red. I try to keep clothes (minus plate) white. Theme is to give each ordinary scout his own seperate color (as seen on the hair and on one kneepad)

In total i have 2 seargents, 2 scouts with heavy bolters and 6 ordinary scouts. (i know that there were more figures in the boardgame, but i gave one squad to my boy)

This is the seargent

This is scout 1 & 2: As you can see i have given them their colors: light green and yellow

Warhammer 40K Blood Angels

I have a "to-do". A rather huge one. Painting my Warhammer 40K Blood Angels army. I will try to post pictures and thoughts for each model here.

The basics... Some of the models are quite old.. I started collecting Warhammer models in general, about 25 years ago, but its fun to see them come to life as they are painted.

All Blood Angels have been primed with the "Army Painter Dragon Red" and so far, once finished they have been given a "Army Painter Soft Tone Quick Shade". I know.. i sound like i am selling Army Painter stuff, but so far i have really liked the outcome.
